About 3Dog
As you can see by the photo above, it’s rather obvious how I came up with the name 3Dog Pet Photography. These are our three Bernese Mountain Dogs - Sydney, Davos and Zuri (short for Zurich.) My name is Bruce Beals. My wife and I have had dogs all of our lives, but boy have these three changed our life in more ways than one, as our life revolves around them. Lots of hair, lots of food, many baths, but best of all, lots of love. I love all animals and that is why I chose to leave my job in sales and jump into pet photography. It must be fate as my father was a professional photographer and my mother dabbled in it as well. At a young age I found out what a darkroom was when I opened the door to it, as my mother was processing photos from a recent trip to Switzerland. Need I say more? From there I took classes throughout school and learned firsthand how to capture candid moments of people and their pets. When the digital cameras came out, I was thrilled as it enabled me to experience firsthand a new type of photography in capturing those special moments. As you can see from almost all my photos, I prefer to shoot outdoors due to the fact I believe natural light is the best light to catch the colors of your pets. The optimum time for photos is early morning or early evening. I do not take studio photos for the mere fact I can keep my pricing lower with less overhead and it also enables me to take action or posed shots in a natural environment where your pets are in their element. I am extremely flexible as to your thoughts on what, when or where you would like photos taken. Typically I will come to your house, a park or anywhere you choose. Should you prefer more of a studio setting, I have various backdrops and muslins to catch the perfect photo. Please call or e-mail so we can set up what works best for you. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your pet to capture memorable moments that last forever.
